MadBull Hop-Up Rubber

Product Overview

The 60-degree Hop-Up rubber is softer compared to the standard 80-90 degree hop-up rubbers. This softness facilitates easier installation and usage. The hop-up rubber is crafted from silicone, which allows it to maintain its properties even in low temperatures, unlike conventional rubber that tends to harden. It performs exceptionally well in both typical and sub-zero conditions.
The incorporation of a special blocking system, known as the "Shark Hopup", ensures that only one BB pellet is present in the chamber at any given time. In certain scenarios, this hop-up rubber can enhance the FPS (feet per second) performance of the replica.

Understanding the Hop-Up System

The Hop-Up system is designed to impart a spin to the BB pellet fired by airsoft replicas. It leverages the Magnus effect to flatten the trajectory of the projectile, making it resemble the path of a bullet from a real firearm.
Essentially, it is a precisely shaped rubber or silicone seal that, upon contact with a speeding BB pellet, induces rotation. To simplify, a BB pellet that spins on one side generates increased air friction, enabling it to turn. If the rotation occurs along the horizontal axis, the BB pellet will ascend, counteracting gravitational forces.
The degree to which the Hop-Up rubber contacts the BB pellet determines the strength of its rotation and subsequent upward movement. Heavier BB pellets require greater pressure from the Hop-Up rubber due to their increased inertia and faster descent. Conversely, if a lighter BB pellet is rotated too vigorously, it may rise above the intended firing line.
