L85/L86 LSW assault rifles have characteristic, unique bullpup construction, where the bolt group and magazine are located inside the “stock”, behind the trigger and the pistol grip. This makes the rifle shorter and lighter while at the same time retaining standard barrel length and effective range. The external barrel features a 14 mm, left-handed (“negative”) thread, which allows for the attachment of muzzle devices, flash hiders or silencers.
