Das Maschinengewehr M249 wurde in den 1980er Jahren von der US-Armee übernommen. Diese Waffe mit einem Kaliber von 5,56 mm wurde über mehrere Jahrzehnte hinweg in zahlreichen globalen Konflikten eingesetzt. Sie wurde kontinuierlich verbessert, was zu verschiedenen Waffenvarianten führte. Das ursprünglich vom belgischen Waffenhersteller FN Herstal als FN Minimi entwickelte M249 ist zu einem festen Bestandteil militärischer Arsenale geworden.

Das hier von A&K vorgestellte ASG-Maschinengewehr trägt die offiziellen Markierungen des belgischen Waffenherstellers FN Herstal unter einer von Cybergun erteilten Lizenz. Das Modell M249 MK II besteht aus einer Kombination aus Stahl, Aluminium und Polymermaterialien.

Stahlkomponenten: Klappbares Zweibein, Laufverriegelungshebel, Replika-Korpus, Abzugsbügel, Schrauben, Stifte, Munitionsgurt-Zufuhrfenster und Ladehebelführungen.
Aluminiumkomponenten: Blockgasnachbildung, Mündungsvorrichtung, Zweibeinbasis, Ladegriff und Außenlauf.
Polymerkomponenten: Schaft, ergonomischer Pistolengriff, Laufabdeckung und Abzugssperre.

Magazin und Getriebe

Im Lieferumfang ist ein Kastenmagazin enthalten, das mit zwei AA-Batterien betrieben wird (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Das Magazin verfügt über einen Automatikmodus und eine Geräuschsteuerung. Darüber hinaus ist die Replik mit Magazinen kompatibel, die in Karabinern vom Typ M4/M16 verwendet werden.

Im Inneren der Replik befindet sich ein M249-Getriebe, das mit einem Schnellfederwechselsystem ausgestattet ist. Das Getriebe verfügt über 18:1-Getriebe, 8-mm-Lager, einen Kolben mit Vollstahlzahn, einen Aluminium-Kolbenkopf, einen Aluminium-Zylinderkopf, eine Aluminiumdüse und eine M120-Hauptfeder.

In Germany, the Weapons Act governs the sale and use of Airsoft guns:

Fully automatic Airsoft pistols with a muzzle energy up to 0.5 joules can be purchased by individuals 14 years of age or older. (please add our downgrade optional service for Germany).
Handguns and rifles exceeding 0.5 joules must be semi-automatic (one shot per trigger pull) and require the buyer to be at least 18 years old. We'll ask for age verification during your online purchase.
Age verification is done online before completing your order. If the recipient is different from the person placing the order, we'll also need their age verification.
Carrying Airsoft guns in public is generally prohibited, even if they're not readily visible. Exceptions exist with a valid firearms license, but this only applies to handguns and semi-automatic rifles.
Full Auto Airsoft guns exceeding 0.5 joules are considered firearms under the Weapons Act. Carrying them without a valid firearms license (with the "F in a pentagon" marking) is an administrative offense.
Transporting Airsoft guns requires them to be unloaded, secured, and in a closed container.
Using Airsoft guns is permitted on private property (with the owner's consent) and designated Airsoft fields.
