Die CM16-Replik eignet sich perfekt für den Einsatz auf kurzer und mittlerer Reichweite mit einer Mündungsgeschwindigkeit von ~390 FPS. Die implementierte obere RIS-Schiene ermöglicht das Anbringen beliebiger Zieloptiken, während ein Multipositionsschaft die Anpassung der Replik an die Vorlieben eines einzelnen Benutzers ermöglicht.

Die von G&G hergestellte CM16 Carbine Light DST-Replik ist Teil der Combat Machine-Serie, deren Ziel es ist, qualitativ hochwertige Repliken zu einem Preis zu liefern, der als wirtschaftlich angesehen werden kann. Repliken der Zwischenserien zeichnen sich durch ihre höchste , für G&G-Produkte charakteristische Handwerkskunst, Zuverlässigkeit und hohe Qualität der verwendeten Materialien aus.

Der Hauptfaktor, der es ermöglicht, den Preis zu senken, ist die Verwendung eines Empfängers aus einem hochwertigen Polymer anstelle von Metall. Es ist auch wichtig zu beachten, dass das Gehäuse aus einem glasfaserverstärkten Polymer hergestellt wurde, ebenso wie der Pistolengriff , der Schaft und fast alle anderen Polymerelemente. Zu den Metallteilen hingegen gehören: der äußere Lauf, der Schaftschlitten, die Riegel, das Magazingehäuse und die meisten kleinen Elemente. Die Replik wurde an jeder möglichen Stelle leicht gemacht, während die Haltbarkeit und Dichtheit der gesamten Konstruktion erhalten blieb. Während des Gebrauchs bemerkt der Benutzer keine losen Stellen und die Nachbildung ist wirklich solide. Das macht die Nutzung wirklich komfortabel.

Die Möglichkeit, die Staubschutzklappe mit dem Kammerstengel zu öffnen, fehlt dem Nachbau, dazu ist aber kein Werkzeug notwendig. Reguliert wird HopUp ganz traditionell über das Aufklappen der Kammerklappe, das geht mit dem Finger, denn sie wird nur mit einer Feder geschlossen.

Die Verkabelung des Nachbaus wurde nach vorne geführt, der Akku ist im Handschutz untergebracht, der Nachbau wurde jedoch für den Betrieb mit Akkus mit Tamiya-Kleinstecker angepasst.

In Germany, the Weapons Act governs the sale and use of Airsoft guns:

Fully automatic Airsoft pistols with a muzzle energy up to 0.5 joules can be purchased by individuals 14 years of age or older. (please add our downgrade optional service for Germany).
Handguns and rifles exceeding 0.5 joules must be semi-automatic (one shot per trigger pull) and require the buyer to be at least 18 years old. We'll ask for age verification during your online purchase.
Age verification is done online before completing your order. If the recipient is different from the person placing the order, we'll also need their age verification.
Carrying Airsoft guns in public is generally prohibited, even if they're not readily visible. Exceptions exist with a valid firearms license, but this only applies to handguns and semi-automatic rifles.
Full Auto Airsoft guns exceeding 0.5 joules are considered firearms under the Weapons Act. Carrying them without a valid firearms license (with the "F in a pentagon" marking) is an administrative offense.
Transporting Airsoft guns requires them to be unloaded, secured, and in a closed container.
Using Airsoft guns is permitted on private property (with the owner's consent) and designated Airsoft fields.
