Frequently asked questions

Q — Which battery type is best for airsoft AEGs?

A — It depends on your goals: NiMH is durable and easy for beginners; LiPo gives the best power-to-weight and fastest trigger response (if used with correct chargers and safety procedures); LiFe offers a safer lithium option with a different voltage curve. Match voltage, connector and C-rating to your replica and MOSFET (if fitted)

Q — Do I need a balance charger for LiPo batteries?

A — Yes. LiPo packs require a balance charger that monitors each cell during charge to prevent overcharging a single cell — this is a core safety requirement and extends pack life. Never charge LiPo packs with a charger that lacks a balance function.

Q — What connector should I use — Mini-Tamiya, Deans or XT60?

A — Mini-Tamiya is common and easy; Deans (T-Plug) and XT60 offer lower resistance and support higher currents. If you upgrade to higher-draw setups (high-rate LiPo, high-ROF builds), upgrading to Deans or XT60 is recommended — always check polarity and use quality connectors/adapters
