The Tokarev TT-33 (Russian: 7.62-мм самозарядный пистолет Токарева образца 1930 года?, 7.62 mm Samozarjadnyj Pistolet Tokareva obrazca 1930 goda) is a Soviet-made single-action semi-automatic pistol
designed in 1930 by Fyodor Tòkarev as a replacement for the Nagant M1895 revolver, in use since 1895. The initials 'TT' stand for Tula-Tokarev, where Tula is the Russian city in which the Tul'skij oružejnyj zavod factory, responsible for production of the weapon, is located, and Tokarev is the name of the designer.
