STG44 / MP44 WWII rifle replica

This StG44 airsoft-replica contains a proper V2 gearbox, which is really good, out of the box (something that is not obvious, as most of us know). It hardly makes any noise, whilst shooting a 0.20 BB at 125 m/s, hitting a target at 50 meters in a small group. Impressive.
The only disappointment was the way in which the wooden stock was screwed to the metal receiver. Two small screws were not properly screwed in. So, I finished that job, and all seemed fine. Later on, I noticed that my 11.1V lipo-batteries do not easily fit into the stock, so I used sandpaper to increase the margin. That did the trick. However, I had removed the screws to work more comfortably. When I screwed them in again, the ****-holes appeared to be too wide to hold the rather short screws, so that the stock's firmness had become wobbly.
The solution was easy: I used some longer screws, combined with washers (one flexible and one firm). Now, the stock is firmly attached to the receiver.
There seem to be no mid-cap mags for this replica, but there is a hack for that, using MP7 mags. Anyway, that is of no concern right now, the StG44 is doing a great job as it is. It's heavy and makes an impression, whenever people spot it as something extraordinary.

This StG44 replica comes out of the box with a perfectly functioning V2 gear. No noise, no feeding issues, just the best possible AEG performance that you can expect.
The look and feel of this StG44 matches the intention of emulating real-steel. The smoothly finished stock completes the replica to perfection.
Almost, that is. The two screws that attach the stock to the metal rear part were too lose and not long enough. So, I exchanged them for longer wood screws, with washers for flexibility. Now, the fit is perfect.
I also carefully ground the inside wall of the battery hole inside the stock, as the coarse finish impeded the smooth insertion and extraction of my LiPo batteries. Now, the batteries go easily in and out, also allowing for the stowing of the connector, which takes some fiddling.
The shooting is a breeze. The V2 is totally silent, the BBs group perfectly, the range is amazing. This StG44 can compete with my Classic Army SR25 easily! All it lacks is a scope, but that would ruin the appearance, I guess.
Also lacking are mid-cap mags. There is a hack to use MP7 mid-caps to fit them into the high-cap StG44 mag, but I will try that later on, when I have gathered more experience with this fine rifle.
