Once connected, the charger will automatically recognize the battery within five seconds and select the optimal charging mode.

Advantages of Li-Po Batteries

• Capacity-to-Size Ratio: LiPo batteries are successors to the well-known lithium-ion (LiIon) packs, offering a superior capacity-to-size ratio. They are compact yet maintain a high current capacity, making them suitable for virtually any AEG replica.
• No Memory Effect: LiPo batteries can be charged frequently without the need for complete discharge, which is beneficial for maintaining battery health.
• Low Self-Discharge: When not in use, LiPo packs lose only about 3-5% of their energy per month. However, it is crucial to monitor the pack during extended storage to prevent discharge below the permissible minimum value of 3V per cell, which could lead to irreversible chemical reactions and potential damage.

Usage and Maintenance

When used correctly, LiPo packs have an average lifespan of 500-700 cycles. They perform well at low temperatures, unlike other batteries, but should be charged at room temperature. To maintain optimal condition, LiPo batteries should be balanced during charging using a service plug, which most LiPo packs include. A quality LiPo charger typically features a built-in balancer.
