The SAH02 carbine replica by Specna Arms was made mostly from a uniform zinc and aluminium alloy, with the use of steel elements in the most critical points of the replica (thus, all screws, pins and the tactical suspension grip are steel). The SF type flask, which houses the battery, as well as the pistol grip are made of polymer plastic. The body of the replica and the RIS rail assembly were subjected to anodizing process, which guarantees a high level of protection of the replica against corrosion. The replica was painted with powder coating process after prior sandblasting of the surface. This ensures much higher than usual abrasion resistance of the paint. Manufacturer's markings have been applied on the body.
The replica was very well fitted in a way that could be observed almost exclusively in the case of G&P or Classic Army manufacturers and perfectly balanced. This ensures ideal manoeuvrability of the replica, while its weight is almost unnoticeable when placed next to the shoulder.
The replica is equipped with a quick spring exchange system called Enter & Convert™ . This allows for quick and efficient adjustment of the replica power to the conditions expected on the battlefield without the need to have access to a workshop or a number of specialized tools after removing the gearbox from the body of the replica.
The advantages of the Enter & Convert™ system are hard to overestimate. In light of the prevailing tendency throughout Europe to apply legal limits to the firing speed of a replica and the arrangements existing within the environments themselves, this system guarantees the user considerable possibilities and a lot of freedom. The Enter & Convert™ system allows, with a minimum of time, to change the mainspring and, consequently, to adjust the replica's discharge velocity to the playing field in order to guarantee the ideal compromise between the effectiveness of fire and the safety of the user and other players.
The replica has been fully adapted to work with LiPo and LiFe type batteries. With a base initial velocity of ~410 FPS guaranteed by the preinstalled mainspring, the replica is perfect for medium range operations. The kit also includes an M90 spring, which allows to reduce the initial velocity to ~310 FPS, making the replica perfectly suited for short range or indoor operations.
The gearbox, reinforced at the cylinder head level, houses a steel spring guide that is part of the Enter & Convert™ System. The system is equipped with steel gears mounted on 8mm ball bearings and washers. The system is secured by four antireturn latches. The lightweight polycarbonate piston features a steel tooth for extra strength. It also uses a type 2 cylinder and a steel interrupter, as well as a metal hopup chamber.
The replica is equipped with a 22mm RIS dorsal rail, a set of front RIS rails and an adjustable buttstock. On the upper RIS rail metal flipup sights were mounted, however they can be freely replaced by any optoelectronic sighting device. Thanks to the sliding butt stock ended with a foot with nonslip texture, it is possible to adjust the length of the replica to the build and preferences of the shooter. The standard flame suppressor is mounted on a 14mm lefthand thread, which allows attaching a sound suppressor in its place.
To increase the realism of the game, the replica was also equipped with a functioning breech release.
The replica comes with a steel hicap magazine with capacity of 300 rounds.
