Overview

The M249 Machine Gun was adopted by the United States Army in the 1980s. This 5.56 mm caliber weapon has been deployed in numerous global conflicts over several decades. It has undergone continuous improvements, resulting in various weapon variants. Originally designed as the FN Minimi by the Belgian firearms manufacturer FN Herstal, the M249 has become a staple in military arsenals.

Product Details

The ASG machine gun presented here by A&K features the official markings of FN Herstal, the Belgian firearms manufacturer, under a license granted by Cybergun. The M249 MK II model is constructed from a combination of steel, aluminum, and polymer materials.

Steel Components: Folding bipod, barrel lock levers, replica body, trigger guard, screws, pins, ammunition belt feed window, and charging handle guides.
Aluminum Components: Block gas replica, muzzle device, bipod base, charging handle, and outer barrel.
Polymer Components: Stock, ergonomic pistol grip, barrel cover, and trigger lock switch.

Magazine and Gearbox

The package includes a box-type magazine powered by two AA batteries (not included). The magazine offers an auto mode and sound control. Additionally, the replica is compatible with magazines used in M4/M16-type carbines.

Inside the replica, there is an M249 gearbox equipped with a quick spring change system. The gearbox features 18:1 gears, 8mm bearings, a piston with a full steel tooth, an aluminum piston head, an aluminum cylinder head, an aluminum nozzle, and an M120 main spring.

In Germany, the Weapons Act governs the sale and use of Airsoft guns:

Fully automatic Airsoft pistols with a muzzle energy up to 0.5 joules can be purchased by individuals 14 years of age or older. (please add our downgrade optional service for Germany).
Handguns and rifles exceeding 0.5 joules must be semi-automatic (one shot per trigger pull) and require the buyer to be at least 18 years old. We'll ask for age verification during your online purchase.
Age verification is done online before completing your order. If the recipient is different from the person placing the order, we'll also need their age verification.
Carrying Airsoft guns in public is generally prohibited, even if they're not readily visible. Exceptions exist with a valid firearms license, but this only applies to handguns and semi-automatic rifles.
Full Auto Airsoft guns exceeding 0.5 joules are considered firearms under the Weapons Act. Carrying them without a valid firearms license (with the "F in a pentagon" marking) is an administrative offense.
Transporting Airsoft guns requires them to be unloaded, secured, and in a closed container.
Using Airsoft guns is permitted on private property (with the owner's consent) and designated Airsoft fields.
