The Specna Arms MP44/StG44 RETRO AEG is a full-size historical airsoft rifle created for collectors, WWII reenactors and players who appreciate authentic military designs. Developed in collaboration with S&T/AGM, the Specna Arms RETRO series combines faithful external reproduction with modern electric internals suitable for skirmishing.

With its substantial metal construction, genuine wooden stock and unmistakable profile, this replica captures the character of one of the most influential infantry weapons of the Second World War. The factory-installed GATE X-ASR MOSFET adds valuable electrical protection and improved trigger response without compromising the rifle’s historical appearance.

A Faithful Replica of the Iconic StG44

The original MP44, later designated StG44, was developed for German forces during the Second World War and helped establish the concept of the modern assault rifle. Chambered for the intermediate 7.92x33 mm Kurz cartridge, it combined greater range than a submachine gun with more controllable automatic fire than a full-power service rifle.

The original platform was also associated with advanced wartime developments, including compatibility with the ZG 1229 Vampir night-vision system. Its distinctive stamped-metal silhouette, curved magazine and wooden stock made it one of the most recognisable infantry weapons of the 1939–1945 period.

The Specna Arms version closely recreates these defining features, making it an excellent choice for historical events, themed airsoft games and collections of WWII airsoft guns.

Built-in indicator LEDs also provide basic diagnostic information, helping identify selected electrical faults during maintenance or troubleshooting.

The replica is fitted with a DEANS/T-Plug connector, offering efficient electrical contact and lower resistance than traditional small Tamiya connectors. Battery and charger are not supplied and must be purchased separately from the airsoft batteries and chargers collection.

Reliable Performance for Historical Airsoft Games

Internally, the MP44/StG44 is powered by a dedicated special-version gearbox. The replica offers both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire, allowing it to perform effectively in different field situations.

An adjustable hop-up unit helps stabilise the BB during flight, while the long 455 mm inner barrel supports consistent range and accuracy. With a muzzle velocity of approximately 360 FPS, the rifle is suitable for many outdoor airsoft environments, subject to local legislation and site-specific power limits.

The included 190-round mid-cap magazine offers a useful balance between ammunition capacity and realism. Unlike high-capacity magazines, it does not require winding and produces less ammunition rattle while moving.
